Introducing MiniSing!

We have been asked to create an afterschool version of MamaSing for school age children in Devon who are unable to attend our daytime groups for parents and little ones, and so we are launching MiniSing!

MiniSing is an afterschool singing group that will include elements of singing development and will integrate with the main MamaSing for performances. We sing all styles including pop, soul, gospel, folk and traditional, and we will also sing some simple rounds and harmonies.

All children from Y2 and up are invited to join us for this singing session once a week. If you have a Reception or Y1 child you think may enjoy this then we would ask that a parent/guardian attend to sing with their children, as parents do in MamaSing!

Why Sing?   As well as being great fun, singing is nowadays a medically recognized health and wellbeing intervention. There is much research around how singing contributes to our lives both physically and mentally, including improving lung function and releasing endorphins to make us feel good. There are also great social benefits from group musical activities.
